Sigma Sigma Rho

SAKHI is an organization that aims to foster a healthy community for women of South Asian descent globally who have been victims of domestic violence. They started off in the New York Metropolitan area but this philanthropy serves to help many women worldwide. By educating and informing people about domestic abuse and by creating a safe enviroment including a safe place, support, and friendship that brings together battered women under one culture and one purpose, SAKHI has made great strides in helping out the South Asian community, promoting a violence-free community and empowering South Asian women.
